Apart from heritage sites and cultural experiences, there are two nearby beaches in HoiAn – Cua Dua and An Bang beach. These beaches are perfect for a day of relaxation away from town.

Cua Dua beach is nearer, around 5 kms from the city but the beauty of the beach has been spoiled due to rapid over-development. The shoreline has been erosed and frankly it has lost it’s charm.
An Bang beach is a bit further away,10 Kms from the city, but it boasts of a prettier shoreline. The beach is clean and there are a number of shacks along the length of the beach. These shacks allow free use of umbrellas and loungers in addition to Wifi and rudimentary shower facilities, in exchange for some food or drinks. The food is delicious and fresh ranging from fish and prawns to oysters and king crabs at very reasonable prices.

If you want a more secluded spot, keep walking along the shore further away from the shacks, till you come upon isolated stretches of sand.
Taxis are easily available to and from Hoi an, costing around 50,000 to 80,000 VND per trip(5-8 USD)
There are a number of accomodation options available near the beach. Make sure you avoid visiting during the July-September rainy season when the sea is rough and the town gets flooded.
